Simultude, Thermal Fluid Modelling
History
Origins
Simultude was conceived by PhD Engineer Colin Allison. During his PhD canditure he performed numerous CFD simulations of novel heat exchanger concepts using FLUENT, and CFX.

After completing his PhD he decided to combine his HVAC consulting experience with his CFD expertise and provide a CFD service to the HVAC industry.

In 2007 he joined FlowSim PTY Ltd who are the retailers of Flomerics CFD sotware products such as FloVENT, FloEFD, FloTHERM amongst others.

FlowSim also provided a CFD consultancy service. However in 2009 Flomerics was bought by Mentor Graphics, and their policies on providing consultancy services changed.

Dr Allison therefore decided to continue with his own consultancy service using the Mentor Graphics codes.
AIRAH Accreditation
Dr Colin Allison is a registered Accredited Practitioner with AIRAH since 2003.
What we can do for you:
Simultude is a niche type consulting Engineering Service which provides CFD modelling. We specialise in performing fluid flow and heat transfer simulations for the HVAC industry. We can work directly with Architects, Air Conditioning Contractors or Construction Companies, since we have an extensive Building Services background. We therefore offer a turnkey service with no need to engage Mechanical Consultants.

We also provide a detailed Mechanical Component Design service using CFD to optimise components airflow performance. This saves clients time and money since fabrication and testing of physical prototypes is kept to a minimum.
Simulation versus Reality:
Numerous simulation and modelling experience has taught us that the truth is definitely stranger than fiction. Fluid flow and heat flow is not always intuitive and CFD is the best tool to predict and visualise how flow conditions occur in reality.
